For countless food lovers, momos—steamed or fried dumplings stuffed with minced meat or finely chopped vegetables and paired with fiery chutneys—are pure comfort food. During a recent visit to the capital, Charlie Evans discovered just how irresistible they can be.

The American content creator shared an Instagram video humorously admitting his growing addiction to the popular street snack. Laughing at himself, he says, "I've got the curse of the momo, guys."

Delhi Streets That Smell Too Good to Ignore

Even after already eating momos earlier, Charlie found himself tempted again while walking through the city. Describing the pull of the aromas around him, he adds, "Even though I just had momos a couple of hours ago, walking down IGNOU (Road) right now, there are still so many good smells from all the street vendors and restaurants that I could maybe go for another momo. I think I'm becoming Indian because I can eat momos all the time."

Currently living in Saket, his casual strolls through the lively lanes of New Delhi quickly turned into sensory adventures.

‘Indian Food Is God’

Charlie didn’t hold back his admiration for India’s street food culture. In the video, he openly declares, "I love it here in India. All the street food videos are amazing. Indian food is God. But I want to bring my momos back home and give them a good eating for you guys."

His enthusiasm struck a chord with viewers who share the same love for roadside delicacies.

A Quiet Night, A Sack of Momos

In another moment, the vlogger is seen admiring the calm, night-time vibe of IGNOU Road—a contrast to its usual hustle. Moments later, excitement takes over as he reveals, "I've got the sack, guys. I've got the sack of momos. We're gonna go home to eat it. I am so hungry," before joking, "Normal people eat in their houses sometimes. As a travel blogger, we don't need to go to all the crazy food stalls all the time."

Relatable Reactions From Foodies

Captioned "Vlog: Curse of the MoMo," the video quickly gained traction online. One user affectionately called him “Momo pagluuu.”

Another viewer shared a deeply relatable comment: "Oh my god, glad to hear that you loved Momo, I can eat Momo during breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner, which is weird for my friends, it's just too tasty, so tasty, even words are insufficient to describe the taste."
