Honda CB500 unveiled: Check price, engine, top speed, features and other details

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Friday unveiled a 10-model Made-in-India portfolio, comprising seven all-new models and three refreshed variants with new colour options, as it seeks to meet evolving consumer preferences in the domestic two-wheeler market.

The lineup spans multiple segments, including cruisers, adventure tourers, roadsters, lifestyle motorcycles, electric mobility and flex-fuel vehicles. HMSI said the localisation of these models enhances its product development, engineering and manufacturing capabilities in India while bringing Honda's global technologies to a wider customer base.

The new portfolio includes the Honda ADV 160 adventure scooter, Honda CB500 roadster, Honda CB350 range, Honda Rebel 300, Honda Rebel 500, Honda XR300L, Honda XR300 Rally and the Honda QC3 electric scooter.

Honda CB500: Engine and performance

The Honda CB500 is powered by a 501cc engine that delivers 20.7 kW of power and 43.3 Nm of torque. Honda says the motorcycle combines classic roadster character with a retro-sporty design, strong riding performance and everyday practicality.

Honda CB500: Features

The CB500 comes equipped with an assist and slipper clutch, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Honda RoadSync connectivity and gas-charged rear suspension. Select models in the new portfolio will also feature Honda E-Clutch technology, which automatically manages clutch operation to make riding easier, particularly in heavy traffic and stop-and-go conditions.

The motorcycle will be available in three variants:

• Alloy
• Spoke Tubeless
• Spoke Tubeless with Graphics

According to Honda, the CB500 expands its Made-in-India premium motorcycle portfolio while giving customers more choices in the mid-capacity roadster segment.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has not yet announced the price of the CB500. Pricing details are expected to be revealed closer to the motorcycle's market launch.


HMSI said the increased localisation of the CB500 and other models in its new portfolio will strengthen local sourcing and manufacturing capabilities while reinforcing India's position as a key hub in Honda's global manufacturing network.
