Holi Special Trains 2023: Railways to operate these trains to accommodate heavy demand in coming days

The Indian Railways has decided to run Holi Special trains between various destinations in order to accommodate the increased passenger traffic during the upcoming festive season. Passengers can purchase tickets for these special trains at PRS counters as well as on the IRCTC website, irctc.co.in. This year’s festival of colours will take place on March 8.

These trains, which will be operated by Indian Railways, will travel to cities such as Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Pune, among others.

The following are the details of the Holi Special trains:

1: Train No. 05562 CSMT Mumbai-Jaynagar Holi Special will depart every Monday at 13:30 hrs from March 13 to March 27 and arrive in Jaynagar at 8:00 hrs on the third day.


2: Jaynagar - CSMT Mumbai Train No. 05561: From March 11 to March 25, the Holi Special will depart from Jaynagar at 23:50 hrs on Saturdays and arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 13:00 hrs on the third day.

3: On every Thursday between March 2 and March 23, Train No. 09011 Valsad - Malda Town Holi Special departs Valsad at 22:15 hrs (4 trips). 09012 Malda Town - Valsad Holi Special will depart Malda Town at 09:05 hrs on every Sunday between March 5 and March 26. (4 trips). The special train will stop at the Eastern Railway stations of New Farrakka, Barharwa, Sahibganj, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Sultanganj, Jamalpur and Abhaipur en route in both directions.

4: Train No. 03043 Howrah - Raxaul Holi Special will leave Howrah at 23:00 hrs on March 4 (Saturday) and arrive in Raxaul at 14:15 hrs the next day, and 03044 Raxaul - Howrah Holi Special will arrive in Howrah at 07:20 hrs the next day.

5: On March 1 and March 5, Train No. 09057 Udhna Jn. - Mangaluru Jn. Bi-Weekly Special will depart from Udhna Jn. at 20:00 hrs. The train will arrive at Mangaluru Jn. at 19:40 hrs the following day.

6: On March 2 and March 6, Train No.09058 Mangaluru Jn. - Udhna Jn. Bi-Weekly Special will depart Mangaluru Jn. at 21:10 hrs. The train will arrive at Udhna Jn. at 21:05 hrs the following day.

7: On Tuesday, March 7, Train No. 09412 Ahmedabad Jn. - Karmali Superfast Special on Special Fare (Weekly) will depart from Ahmedabad Jn. at 09.30 hrs. The train will arrive in Karmali at 04.25 a.m. the following day.

8: Train No. 09411 Karmali - Ahmedabad Jn. Special on Special Fare (Weekly) departs Karmali at 09.20 hrs on Wednesday, March 8. The train will arrive at Ahmedabad Jn. at 07:00 hrs the following day.



9: Train no. 01459 Lokmanya Tilak (T) - Madgaon Jn. Special (Weekly) will depart LTT at 22:15 hrs on Sunday, February 26, March 5, and March 12. The train will arrive at Madgaon Jn. at 10:30 a.m. the following day.

10: On Monday, March 6, and March 13, train no. 01460 Madgaon Jn. - Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special (Weekly) will depart from Madgaon Jn. at 11:30 hrs. On the same day, the train will arrive at LTT at 23:45 hrs.

11: On Friday, March 3, March 10, and March 17, train no. 01445 Pune Jn. - Karmali Special (Weekly) will depart from Pune Jn. at 17:30 hrs. The train will arrive in Karmali at 08:30 hrs the following day.

12: On Sunday, March 5, March 12, and March 19, train no. 01446 Karmali - Pune Jn. Special (Weekly) will depart from Karmali at 09:20 hrs. On the same day, the train will arrive at Pune Jn. at 23:35 hrs.

13: On Saturday, March 4, March 11, and March 18, Train No. 01448 Karmali - Panvel Special (Weekly) will depart from Karmali at 09:20 hrs. On the same day, the train will arrive in Panvel at 20:15 hrs.

14: Train No. 01447 Panvel - Karmali Special (Weekly) will depart Panvel at 22:00 hrs on Saturday, February 25, March 4, and March 18. The train will arrive in Karmali at 08:30 hrs the following day.
