According to reports, a tree on the mountain opposite the gurudwara was uprooted due to a storm and landslide. It crashed onto parked vehicles, killing six people and injuring three others, officials confirmed. The injured have been taken to Jari Hospital for treatment.
Rescue teams, including medical personnel, police, and revenue officials, are at the site, coordinating relief efforts. Kullu's Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Vikas Shukla, spoke to reporters and assured that all necessary assistance is being provided.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur have expressed their deep sorrow over the tragedy.
CM Sukhu has instructed the district administration to provide all possible support to the victims and their families. He has also ordered officials to ensure that the injured receive the best medical care.
