Car plunges 200-foot in Himachal gorge
Two men died after their car fell into a 200-foot gorge and caught fire on the Bharwain-Hoshiarpur road in Una district. The devotees were travelling from Himachal Pradesh to Punjab and were burnt alive in the tragic incident.Police said the two men came from Ludhiana in Punjab and were returning after visiting the Chintpurni temple. An Aadhaar card recovered from the spot suggests one occupant was from Tajpur Road in Ludhiana.

The incident was captured on camera and has since gone viral on social media, where users are expressing their concerns about the road infrastructure.
According to police, the accident occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle. By the time police and fire personnel reached the spot, the vehicle was gutted. One victim's body was found outside the car, while the other was recovered from inside the vehicle.

The tragic The accident took place at a sharp bend, where the car veered off the highway, became airborne, and plunged into a deep gorge estimated to be around 200 metres. According to the footage, the driver of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire appears to have lost control following a suspected tyre burst.After losing steering control, the airbags deployed, which may have further complicated the situation. The vehicle eventually fell into the gorge and reportedly caught fire on impact, trapping the occupants inside.
