According to a railway official, a senior ticket collector at Wadala station in Mumbai recently rescued a 73-year-old woman who fell while attempting to board a moving train. The incident occurred on Sunday at 3:10 pm on platform number one of the station, when the woman got dragged by the train.

"The woman fell while boarding a moving train. As she was getting dragged by the train, her daughter who was travelling with her shouted for help," the official revealed.

"The Central Railway's senior ticket collector Sudhir Kumar Manjhi, who was checking tickets nearby, immediately rushed and saved the woman from getting dragged into the gap between the train and the platform," the official said.


The CCTV footage of the incident revealed that several passengers on the platform immediately came to the woman's aid. Fortunately, the woman only sustained a minor injury to her hand. The station staff provided her with first aid on-site. The woman's daughter expressed gratitude for the prompt assistance provided by the railway staff member.
