Heeramandi teaser out; Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut series shows Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, and Aditi Rao Hydari as courtesans

Netflix India released the teaser for the upcoming web series Heeramandi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, on Saturday. Netflix published a brief clip on its official social media channels showcasing the main characters. With Heeramandi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali makes his web series debut.

The actors Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sonakshi Sinha are first seen in the video. The actors are seated next to one another and are all wearing mustard-coloured clothing. Sonakshi was the only one of them who was standing, and she bowed to the camera while performing a salaam.

On Saturday, Bhansali and Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix, met in Mumbai to discuss the evolving fields of Indian and international storytelling.

It is to mention that Alia Bhatt played a sex worker who became a mafia queen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, which was released last year.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is also working on the musical Baiju Bawra which will star Alia Bhatt.
