Let's just admit it, life of a delivery man is hard.

Recently, the internet is going abuzz with a video of a Swiggy delivery man drenched in rain and waiting at a traffic signal.

The heartbreaking video, shared on the Instagram page ‘frinds.dinesh’, highlights how poor or middle-class Indians go to great lengths to earn their bread and butter.


The video shows the delivery man fully drenched and waiting on his bike at a traffic light. The video has moved many hearts on social media.

“Unfortunately, in @Swiggy only 5 stars can be given. Crores of stars are also less for such a conscientious and hardworking employee.” IPS officer Dinesh Kabra wrote while sharing the video.

Netizens also flooded the comments section of the post with words of appreciation for the delivery agent.

“Yes really. Hard work is not a joke,” wrote one user.
Another user said, “Thank u all delivery boys for making us happy with delicious food.”

“Life is not easy for middle or lower class families,” wrote the third user.

As soon as the video went viral, Swiggy issued a statement stating that its delivery agents have access to rainproof jackets and waterproof bags.

“We value the efforts of all our delivery partners, including this executive from Vijayawada. Their safety is of utmost importance to us and we take multiple measures to ensure they are weather ready across the year. All delivery executives have access to reflective rainproof jackets and waterproof bags. They are also covered under medical insurance,” the online food and grocery ordering platform said in a statement.
