The 71st National Film Awards turned into a historic evening for Shah Rukh Khan as he finally bagged his first-ever National Award for Jawan.

While fans across the country celebrated the long-awaited recognition, one jury member’s heartfelt reaction has captured just as much attention.

Actor Prakruti Mishra, who is best known for her work in Odia cinema and Hindi television, shared her joy on Instagram after the ceremony.

Posting pictures alongside Shah Rukh Khan, she revealed that the moment she shook hands with him became one of the most cherished experiences of her life.

Reflecting on her role as part of the central panel jury, Mishra wrote that she had no idea she would be among the eleven people responsible for SRK receiving his long-overdue honour.

She praised the superstar for his humility, grace, and unwavering dedication, thanking him for inspiring countless artists with his journey.

Directed by Atlee, Jawan is more than just a commercial entertainer. Through its high-octane action and gripping storyline, the film raises important questions about unemployment, farmer distress, and systemic corruption, all presented in a way that resonated deeply with audiences nationwide.

For millions of fans, Shah Rukh Khan’s win was a long time coming. For Prakruti Mishra, it was also a personal victory, one she will carry with her forever. And as her heartfelt post shows, sometimes a handshake can hold as much magic as the award itself.
