According to Moga City South Police ASI Harjinder Singh, Deepak, the son of Prem Chand from Madiala village, met Manpreet Kaur on social media. Their online connection became so strong that they decided to get married.
The grand baraat, complete with 100 guests, set off in high spirits to Moga, where the wedding was supposedly planned at the “Rose Garden Palace.” However, upon their arrival, there was no sign of any such palace.
Confused, Deepak called Manpreet, who casually told him to wait as she would send someone to fetch them. The baraat waited at Lohara Chowk, hungry and thirsty.
From midday until 6 PM, the baraatis waited and waited.
He eventually headed to the Moga City South Police Station, where he filed a complaint.
Love can make fools of us all, but this story? It’s on another level. If you’re planning to swipe right forever, maybe double-check that the wedding venue actually exists!
