The accused has been named Devendra, who lives in Mastgarh Cheeka village in Kaithal district.
According to DSP Veerbhan of Kaithal, the police received intelligence reports that led to Devendra’s arrest. “Based on the information, our special detective staff arrested Devendra, son of Narwal Singh, from Mastgarh Cheeka village,” the DSP said.
After his arrest, Devendra was questioned by the police. During the interrogation, he admitted to being in contact with the Pakistan intelligence agency ISI.
He reportedly told police that he shared details about the ongoing dispute between India and Pakistan, including sensitive information about Operation Sindoor, with the Pakistan army and ISI. The police are now conducting a detailed investigation of the electronic devices seized from him at the cyber police station. DSP Veerbhan added, “We will take legal action based on whatever facts come to light.”
Punjab Police Arrest Two for Leaking Army Secrets to Pakistan
In a related case, Punjab Police arrested two people on May 4 for allegedly leaking sensitive information and photographs of army cantonment areas and air bases in Amritsar to Pakistan’s intelligence agencies.The accused have been identified as Palak Sher Masih and Suraj Masih. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Maninder Singh said, “Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav instructed us to quickly arrest and imprison any anti-national elements. We received information about Palak Sher Masih and Suraj Masih, who were in contact with Pakistan’s intelligence operatives and leaking sensitive data. We have arrested them and recovered a lot of evidence.”
SSP Singh also revealed that the two had another accomplice named Harpreet, who connected them with the ISI. Harpreet is currently in Amritsar Jail and will be brought to court on a production warrant. “There was already an NDPS case registered against him,” Singh added.
