The incidrent happened at the Siddhpeeth Dakshin Kali Mandir in Haridwar on Sunday.
The dispute reportedly began over a parking receipt. A group of devotees from Saharanpur were asked to get a parking slip upon arriving with their vehicle, leading to a confrontation with the temple staff.
Allegedly, the devotees turned violent and attacked the employees, prompting the intervention of the temple priest. The situation escalated as the devotees behaved rudely towards the priest, resulting in a physical altercation.
Subsequently, the priest and temple staff pursued the devotees, resorting to using sticks to beat them. Police from Chandi Ghat Chowki later arrived at the scene to restore order, allowing the devotees to depart.
A young priest is also purportedly seen showing a head injury to the temple staff and asking them to beat up the group of young men.
