Gymnastics World Cup winner Aruna Budda Reddy alleges getting filmed without consent
Top gymnast Aruna Budda Reddy alleged that she was filmed during her fitness test in Delhi. One of the trainees of an SAI coach captured the video without her consent.

On Thursday, the gymnast alleged that the accused coach took her videography without her consent during her physical fitness test, which was held at the IGI stadium in the month of March this year.
Aruna brought a bronze medal in the women's vault for India at Melbourne Worlds in 2018.
Aruna Budda Reddy has now threatened to take legal action against the accused coach after getting the confirmation from the Gymnastics Federation of India (GFI) that it has not assigned anyone to film a video about her fitness evaluation test.
Aruna stated that the incident occurred on March 24, 2022, when she came to Delhi to attend the fitness test accompanied by her coach Manoj Rana. At this event, the federation formed a six-person committee. The team included SAI coaches Ashok Mishra and Rohit Jaiswal, women's artistic gymnastics (WAG) committee chairman Bisheshwar Nandi, doctor Manoj Patil and one male and one female physio was involved in the gymnastics national camp at the IGI.
Aruna stated that the entire assessment test of her fitness was conducted on her injured knee. According to Aruna, the assessment continued for 10 minutes. The moment was recorded by one of the trainees of Jaiswal on the personal mobile of their coach. Moreover, the entire incident happened without asking her permission.
The identity of the accused trainee gymnast has been held; however, the incident could see as a breach of privacy and standard process.
