His actual name was Gobind Rai, and he formed the sacred Khalsa Vani of Sikhs, "Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh."

He also founded the basic five principles of Khalsa, and his teachings greatly impacted Sikhs. The establishment of Khalsa was the culmination of his desire to protect people from oppression, his fearlessness, and his dedication to God.
