Gurgaon woman who duped cab driver of Rs. 2000, refuses to pay Rs 20,000 salon bill after 9 hours session

A woman in Haryana's Gurgaon, who earlier was in news for not paying Rs 2,000 cab bill, is now again in the news. This time, the lady is accused of not paying Rs 20,000 salon bill after spending nine hours there.

A journalist, Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj, tweeted a video of the lady in the salon arguing with the staff. As per the video, the incident happened in Grace and Glamour salon in Gurgaon.


The lady, identified as Jyoti Dalal, reportedly took services from 1 pm to 10 PM at the salon but kept delaying the payment. She later promised to pay by 11 pm.

The salon staff finally called the police for help. However, cops allegedly did not take any action her after the lady claimed to be the girlfriend of a 'high-profile' man in the city.

The journalist, who tweeted the video, alleged that the Gurgaon police took no action even though the owner wanted to file an FIR against her.

As per the viral video, even after calling the police, the lady did not pay a single penny at the parlour.

The viral video has now close to 4 lakh views on X (formerly Twitter). Many netizens have slammed the Gurgaon Police for its inaction in the matter.

"@gurgaonpolice @police_haryana where's the action? What fuels her audacity to consistently carry out these acts," commented one.

Another questioned: "What was the outcome of the first case? Did the driver get her money in that, and she some punishment? How is this even becoming a thing?"



The woman, Jyoti Dalal was earlier accused of not paying a cab driver Rs 2,000 after roaming in his cab for over 12 hours in July this year. Dalal allegedly took the cab around 10 p.m. and made the driver roam till 11 a.m. in the morning. However, when the cab driver demanded Rs 2,000, she refused to pay.

Gurgaon Police is yet to issue any statement in this incident.
