Gurugram Police Book 73 Flat Owners for Housing Foreign Nationals Without Mandatory Form-C
The Gurugram Police have registered cases against 73 flat owners for allegedly accommodating foreign nationals in their apartments without obtaining prior permission or submitting Form-C, a mandatory requirement under Indian regulations.

The action was taken on Thursday following a tip-off received by the Kherki Daula police station, officials said.

Information Triggered Police Verification Drive

According to the police, they received specific inputs that several foreign nationals were staying in flats at DLF Primus Society in Sector 82, Gurugram, without their details being formally reported to the authorities.

Acting on the information, a police team reached the residential complex and carried out a detailed verification of documents related to residents and flat owners.

Violations Found During Document Check

As per a PTI report, during the investigation, officers found that 73 flat owners had failed to submit Form-C, which is required to be filled whenever a foreign national stays in a private residence, hotel, guest house or rented accommodation.

The police also noted that no prior intimation about the stay of foreign nationals had been given to the concerned police station, officials said.

FIR Registered, Probe Underway

An FIR has been registered against all 73 flat owners at the Kherki Daula police station, and further investigation is currently underway to ascertain the duration and nature of the violations.

A spokesperson for the Gurugram Police stated that the move was taken keeping in mind internal security, law and order, and the need to monitor the stay of foreign nationals.

Form-C Mandatory for Monitoring Foreign Nationals

Police officials reiterated that submission of Form-C is compulsory under Indian law and is aimed at maintaining accurate records of foreign nationals residing in the country.

“All hotel owners, guest house operators, homestay providers, PG operators and private flat owners must ensure that Form-C is filled for every foreign national staying on their premises,” the spokesperson said.

Advisory Issued to Property Owners

The Gurugram Police have urged property owners and housing societies to strictly follow the rules and ensure timely submission of Form-C to avoid legal action.

Authorities have warned that failure to comply with these requirements can attract penal action, as monitoring the movement and stay of foreign nationals remains a key aspect of national security.
