Gujarat elections: Ravindra Jadeja thanks PM Narendra Modi & Amit Shah for giving ticket to wife Rivaba

Indian all rounder Ravindra Jadeja today thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for giving opportunity to his wife Rivaba Jadeja to contest Gujarat state Assembly election. He also congratulated his wife for getting a ticket from BJP.

In the first list of 160 candidates for the Gujarat Assembly elections, BJP has given ticket to Rivaba to contest from the Jamnagar North constituency. The BJP has fielded Rivaba Jadeja from the Jamnagar North candidate, dropping its current MLA Dharmendrasinh M Jadeja.



"Congratulations to my wife on getting a BJP ticket for the Vidhan Sabha elections. So proud of all the effort and hardwork which you have put in. My best wishes to you, may you continue to work for the development of the society," Ravindra Jadeja said no Twitter.

"I also wish to thank our honourable PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji and Shri Amit Shah Ji for believing in her abilities and giving her a opportunity to do noble work (sic)," he added.

Rivaba, a mechanical engineer by education, joined the BJP in 2019. She is related to Congress veteran Hari Singh Solanki. She married Indian all rounder Ravindra Jadeja in 2016. She has also served as the leader of the Rajput community organisation Karni Sena.

Rivaba has been quite active in the Jamnagar-Saurashtra region . Over the past few months, she has been travelling across villages to gain support for voters.

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja missed out the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia due to a knee injury. He suffered the injury during the Asia Cup this year just before the World Cup.
