An online listing of the much-awaited Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) was spotted by some gamers ahead of its release. According to Insider Gaming, the listing appeared only briefly before disappearing. The listing has now created a storm of some sort because of the price tag.

As per reports, the game was listed at humoungous at £89.99 — roughly $99.99 USD or over ?8,000 — sparking fears that Rockstar’s next blockbuster may become one of the most expensive standard-edition games ever. The same listing also mentioned a PC version code for the Rockstar Games Launcher priced at £60.99. However, do note that this may not be the final price tag which could change during its release. Nonetheless, the Rs 8,000 plus price tag has started a debate over the game.

GTA 6 expected features

The GTA 6 is expected to deliver its most ambitious open world yet, reportedly based on a modern-day Florida setting. Players may get to explore a vast landscape filled with neon-lit cities, sunny beaches, murky swamps and quiet rural towns.


In a historic first for the franchise, GTA 6 is rumoured to feature a female protagonist named Lucia, alongside a male lead. This dual-character system is expected to offer players multiple perspectives and richer storytelling.

The Rockstar game is also tipped to push technical boundaries with next-level visuals, including ray tracing, realistic lighting, detailed reflections and dynamic weather effects.
