Groom fined Rs 2 lakh for dancing in an open Audi in Uttar Pradesh

The video was recorded by a passerby, identified as Ankit Yadav, who sent it in a tweet to the Uttar Pradesh police.
A well-planned wedding entrance in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, went horribly wrong after a video of the event became viral on social media.

The groom along with his friends pulled off the stunt on the Muzaffarnagar-Haridwar national highway, endangering lives of fellow commuters.

In the video, 'baraatis' were grooving and taking selfies in a parade of high-end cars.


The video was recorded by a passerby, identified as Ankit Yadav, who sent it in a tweet to the Uttar Pradesh police.

“During my journey from Haridwar to Noida, some people in Muzaffarnagar district were putting others’ lives in danger for their entertainment. Hope the traffic police will take cognizance of the matter," he wrote in the tweet.

The police took cognizance of the video and arrested the groom and impounded nine vehicles for violating traffic norms.

A fine of Rs 2 lakh was also slapped on the groom.
