“Back in Dubai after what feels like a lifetime… Growing up here gave me so many core memories and seeing how much the city has evolved was both surreal and heartwarming. Yuzvendra Chahal had recently spoken about his divorce for the first time on Raj Shamani’s podcast. He addressed the social media buzz around his choice to wear a “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy” T-shirt during the final hearing of their divorce. He said, “Mujhe drama nahi karna tha, I just wanted to give one message—and I did.”
Without naming Dhanashree directly, Chahal suggested that an action from her side had prompted him to wear the T-shirt. “Kyunki saamne se kuch cheez hua tha… pehle mann nahi tha,” he said during the podcast. He added, “Ab sambhaal lo, ab mujhe nahi parwah kisi ki,” explaining that the gesture was meant for personal closure and not meant to cause conflict or controversy.
Apart from her social media post, Dhanashree has not made any direct statement regarding Chahal’s comments. The couple had announced their separation earlier this year.
