Govinda romances wife on Indian Idol 13, daughter hides her face

Bollywood actor Govinda is widely regarded as one of the best dancers in the industry. Not many people associate being romantic with the action-comedy actor. However, Govinda showed his “romantic” side while his appearance on the singing talent show Indian Idol.

Govinda was on the show with his wife, Sunita, and daughter, Tina. The show was a Diwali Special, and Sony TV released promos of the episode on social media. In one of the promos, Sunita could be seen saying that her husband had never danced with her, after which Govinda and Sunita performed a duet dance on the stage. Govinda said that he had been waiting for the moment for years. The Raja Babu actor said, “Main bohut saal intezaar kiya hun is moment ka (I’ve been waiting for this moment for many years).”

However, the Partner actor took things to a different level as he hugged and kissed his wife after their performance. While judges and contestants cheered and seemed to have enjoyed the moment, Tina, Govinda’s daughter, thought it best to hide her face in her hands. While reacting to this, a fan called the pairing of Govinda and Sunita ‘beautiful’. Another said, “Govinda is always a legend.”


Govinda and Sunita tied the knot in March 1987 and have two children, the other being their son, Yashvardhan. Tina made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with the movie 'Second Hand Husband'.

According to the promos, all contestants would be performing songs that featured Govinda, which run into several hundred, as the actor has appeared in at least 165 Hindi movies. The Diwali special episodes will be airing on coming Saturday and Sunday on Sony TV.
