GOT7's Jinyoung to begin military service in May, writes note to fans
GOT7's Jinyoung to enlist in the military next month as an active duty soldier. Fellow members Youngjae and Yugyeom will also enlist, while others won't as they are not South Korean citizens.

In response to the news, Jinyoung shared a handwritten note with his fans on social media, reassuring them that he still had time before his enlistment and encouraging them not to shed tears. He promised that he would return healthy.

Jinyoung's agency stated that he would receive basic military training at the training center before serving as an active-duty soldier. Meanwhile, GOT7 members Youngjae and Yugyeom are also preparing to enlist, but Mark Tuan, Jackson Wang, and BamBam will not be required to do so as they are not South Korean citizens.
Before his enlistment, Jinyoung released his first solo album, "Chapter 0: WITH," in January. He was the last member of GOT7 to release a solo album. Additionally, he appeared in the dramas "Yumi's Cells 2" and "Reborn Rich" in minor roles.
Following Jinyoung, Jay B and BamBam have also released solo albums, with BamBam dropping "Sour & Sweet" in March. While Jinyoung prepares for his military service, his fans can continue to enjoy his music and look forward to his safe return.
