Google users reporting strange bug in Google Calendar: Know how to fix it
There was an undisclosed bug that caused the app to generate random events based on all of the emails the user received in their inbox.

According to Google Reports, the issue creates events on Google Calendar based on random marketing emails and newsletters received via Gmail. Many users also noted that the problem seemed to produce events even for emails that they had not yet opened in Gmail.
As a result, multiple people on Twitter reported the problem and published images of random events being created in Google Calendar.
According to the assessments, there is no obvious pattern of how the occurrences are formed. However, it is conceivable that emails that include the date in their text are causing the problem. It is also adding events to the calendar that reference the in-mail date. Meanwhile, Google has not given any updates or notifications on the new flaw.
How to Temporarily Fix the Gmail Bug
Even though it's not clear what caused the problem, customers who are having trouble can fix it temporarily until Google releases a permanent fix for the “Google Calendar-Gmail” problem.
To resolve the problem
Navigate to the Google Calendar settings page.
Google is anticipated to deliver end-to-end encryption for personal Gmail accounts in the future. On that point, Google Drive, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Google Meet, and Google Calendar are already protected by client-side encryption (beta).
