However, 9to5Google has discovered some display details about the upcoming Pixel smartphone. Pixel 7 phones will probably have similar display configurations to last year's Pixel 6 devices.
In the report, the Google Pixel 7 will be equipped with a screen that displays 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate, while the Pixel 7 Pro is expected to show 1,440 x 3,120 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.
There are two new display drivers in development by Google, namely C10 and P10, according to reports published on an Android Open Source Project. Its codename Cheetah associates it with Pixel 7, whereas P10 is said to be associated with Pixel 7 Pro, whose codename Panther refers to its screen.
Additionally, Google is said to be developing a display with the model number S6E3HC4. There are rumors that Google Pixel 7 Pro could come with an updated version of the Pixel 6 Pro's display. The Pixel 7 Pro is expected to be the same size as the Google Pixel 6 Pro, but the regular Pixel 7 is expected to be 1mm thinner and 2mm shorter than the Pixel 6. A native 1080p mode will also be added to the Pixel 7 Pro to conserve some battery power.
