Google Pixel 10a price in India: Check expected features, battery, camera and pre-order details

Google is set to unveil its most affordable Pixel 10 series smartphone, the Pixel 10a, on Wednesday, February 18. The company has described it as the “most durable Google Pixel A-Series yet,” indicating upgrades to its budget lineup along with enhanced AI and camera-focused capabilities.

"To confirm the rumors, we'll be introducing our Pixel 10a to our best-ever rated Pixel 10 series very soon," CEO Sundar Pichai said during the company’s Q4 earnings call. "Finally, from Android to Pixel, we're getting our best AI capabilities into people's hands," he added.

Pre-orders for the Pixel 10a will begin at 9 pm IST, according to a landing page on Flipkart. The device will also be available through the Google Store in India. The company is offering exchange bonuses on eligible Pixel phones, no-cost EMIs of up to 24 months and Google Store credits during promotional periods.

Official pricing and full specifications will be confirmed at launch. Last year, the Google Pixel 9a was introduced at a starting price of Rs 49,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The Pixel 10a is expected to be priced in a similar range.

According to a report by Dealabs, the phone may be available in 128GB and 256GB storage options and could be offered in Berry, Fog, Lavender and Obsidian colour variants.

The Pixel 10a is expected to feature a design similar to its predecessor, with a flat rear camera module. A Flipkart microsite indicates that the device will include a metal frame and a pill-shaped horizontal camera island that sits flush with the rear panel. The company has emphasised durability, stating that it will be the toughest A-series Pixel to date.

While official specifications are yet to be announced, reports suggest the device may sport a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 2,000 nits. It is likely to be powered by Google’s Tensor G5 chipset and may run on Android 16. The phone is expected to pack a 5,100mAh battery with fast wired charging support and carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

In terms of optics, the Pixel 10a is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens, along with a 13MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

AI features and ecosystem support

Google has confirmed that the Pixel 10a will come with Gemini as a built-in AI assistant. Expected AI features include Gemini Nano, Gemini Live, Pixel Screenshots, Magic Cue, Circle to Search, Live Translate and Call Assist.

The device is also expected to support RCS messaging, streamlined data transfer tools, FaceTime compatibility for video calls, and pairing with Apple devices such as AirPods, Apple TV and Wear OS smartwatches.
