Downdetector had recorded 1700 outage reports by 12:08pm, with 67% of users flagging issues with the website and 32% reporting server-related problems, reflecting a sharp spike in complaints against Google Meet.

This comes a week after Several parts of the internet went down following a masisve technical issue at Cloudflare.

X (formerly Twitter) was abuzz as Google Meet faced a major outage, with posts questioning whether the disruption was widespread, such as “Google Meet down for everyone?” and “Why is Google Meet down??” Several tweets tagged @GoogleIndia, asking for clarity, while others, including @metawire, called for a quick fix, noting that calls could not be joined due to the technical issues.
