Google recently started rolling out the new features, Energy and Memory saving modes for its Chrome browsers. These modes will improve memory efficiency and automatically frees memory from the inactive tabs.

The Energy and Memory Saving modes will firstly enable reduced power consumption and thus decreased usage of the system. This feature will be automatically enabled on the upcoming versions of Chrome. The feature will help Google Chrome solve its longstanding ‘ resource hog’ issue.
The new features can be found in ‘Performance option’ on the Chrome settings page, from where it can be enabled or disabled. One can find the ‘Energy Saver’ option on the same page, which when turned on reduces background activities and disables certain animations and video frame rates.
