Google announces eSIM transfer feature in all Android Smartphones by the end of 2023. Read details here
At MWC 2023, Google announced the addition of eSIM transfer support to Android Smartphones.

The new feature, which is based on the GSMA worldwide standard, will do away with the need to physically change out a SIM card when switching from a mobile plan to a new phone.
The new eSIM transfer function will be made available to Android devices later this year, according to a blog article by Google. Although the rollout schedule has not been revealed, it was stated that Germany's Deutsche Telekom will be the first carrier to receive this functionality. It also mentioned that the new eSIM transmission functionality will be based on the world norm set by GSMA. Users will be able to switch to a new phone and keep their current cell plan without having to physically change SIM cards.
Along with the eSIM news, Google also shared information about the newest Android features available on recently released devices from its affiliate companies, including Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo, and Xiaomi. The Nearby Share function has been added to the OPPO Find N2 Flip and OnePlus 11, while the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro have debuted with support for digital vehicle keys.
The other highlights from the MWC 2023 have been the Nothing Phone 2 which will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 series. Chinese budget electronics manufacturer, Tecno, unveiled its foldable phone with five cameras.
