Golfer remains composed as he shares playing field with an alligator

A golfer recently has created chatter online through his level of commitment and passion towards his game. The intriguing video posted online has attracted a lot of conversation and shows that a game like golf is not for the timid. In the video posted on social media, a man can be seen playing golf calmly, while an alligator slowly approaches from behind.

The man was so committed to his game that he watches as the alligator advanced toward him, but continues to play unperturbed. The golfer, named Michael West from Florida, does not let the impending threat of an alligator foil his concentration.

The video was recorded and posted by his wife, who simply captioned that her husband was playing golf. What makes this video interesting is that without panicking in such a situation, the man simply turns around and looks at the alligator twice, while playing calmly by reading the ball and the destination, and takes the swing. The people in the background, perhaps friends or colleagues can be heard laughing in disbelief as the alligator steadily approaches him.


In the end, the alligator stops moving and lies down as if he is appreciating the game as well. The video has garnered appreciation from all around, with some people saying that not all alligators are a nuisance, while others expressing that they are not sure how cool they could be in a situation like that.

Later, he told a news website that he was lining his approach shot from about 125 meters and as he saw the approaching alligator behind, his friends got a little nervous and told him to hurry up, but he was more worried about the ‘birdie’ than the alligator. It was speculated that the alligator might be heading towards a bigger lake across. He later said that they are prehistoric creatures, and we should respect their space so that they will do the same to you.
