Actress Gina Lollobrigida, veteran Italian actor and once adjudged as the ‘Most Beautiful Woman in the World’, dies at 95.

She was an Italian Actress, who started her career as a model for magazine covers and by making appearances in low and medium-budget films. She has had a very elaborate career as an actress which started at the conclusion of the Second World War.
Gina Lollobrigida was affectionately called “Lollo” and she was adorned with the “Most Beautiful Woman in the World” title. She has starred in films like "Come September", "Trapeze", "Beat the Devil" and "Buona Sera, Mrs Campbell". She had worked with renowned Italian directors like Luigi Comencini, Pietro Germi and Vittorio De Sica. Her film “Buona Sera, Mrs Campbell” was given the highest movie award in Italy.
Apart from being an established actress, Lollobrigida was a sculptor, painter and celebrated photographer. She was a travelling photographer and had taken a tour from the Soviet Union to Australia with her camera. She was even invited by Cuban leader Fidel Castro to the country while she was involved in the work of photo reportage.
