Ghaziabad pet dog attack: German shepherd attacking kid goes viral on Twitter

Another case of pet dog attack has surfaced from the National Capital region. This time, a pet dog attacking a girl child has been reported form Ghaziabad.

In the viral video, a girl child can be seen riding her tricycle in her neighborhood when the dog attacked her.

The dog, even though it was on a leash, jumped at her arm.


The scary incident was captured on CCTV, showing the owner's difficulty in controlling the aggressive dog.


The mother of the girl hurried to help her daughter, pushing the dog aside and asking for help from a security guard.

The girl's family filed a First Information Report at Nangram police station against the owner of the dog in response to the incident.

This is not an isolated incident in Ghaziabad. A recent report stated that a 15-year-old boy was bitten by an American bully in Kaushambi, which resulted in the dog being taken away from the owner's home by GMC officials.

Last year, an eight year old kid got seriously injured following an attack by a pet Pitbull.

The UP government has banned 23 dog breeds deemed "ferocious." This decision follows a circular from the Centre, instructing local bodies and district administrations to prohibit the import, breeding, and sale of these breeds.

The list contains pitbull terriers, rottweilers, and dogo argentino, which were previously prohibited by the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation in 2022. Other breeds like the American bulldog, tosa inu, akita, known from the movie "Hachiko', and fila brasileiro are also on the ban list, including any crossbreeds.
