A Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) confronted a policeman for traveling without a ticket in an air-conditioned train coach. A video of the incident, shared on social media platform Reddit, shows the uniformed policeman sleeping on a lower berth before being questioned by the TTE. The video was posted in the r/IndianRailways community with the title, "TTE confronts a cop for travelling without a ticket in the AC coach."

TTE Questions Policeman's Authority

The short clip, recorded by another passenger from an upper berth, captures the TTE firmly questioning the policeman about his presence in the AC coach. The examiner says in Hindi, "You think a TTE cannot ask to see the ticket of a uniformed official? You don't even have a ticket for the general coach, but you are coming and sleeping in an AC coach."

Continuing his rebuke, the TTE says, "Ghar ka raaj chal raha hai kahin bhi jao, kuch bhi karo. Jo khali hai woh vardiwaalo ka seat hai kya? Khade ho yahan se, nikalo. General mein dikhai dena sleeper mein nahi. (Do you think this is your home that you will sleep wherever you feel like? All vacant seats are for uniformed officers? Get up and leave. Don't you dare go to the sleeper coach, stay in general.)" The policeman quietly gets up and leaves.

Social Media Praises TTE's Action

The video has received widespread support on social media. Many users praised the TTE for standing his ground and enforcing rules. "Nice work by TTE. Railways need a system like airports, only passengers with valid reserved tickets should be allowed," a user commented.

Another user said, "TTE showed who is the boss inside train coaches. Good work!" However, some questioned why the TTE did not impose a fine on the policeman despite acknowledging that he was traveling without a ticket. Typically, passengers caught without a ticket face a fine of Rs 250 or more.
