The German foreign minister, Annalena Baerbock, is in India for two days on official business. During her free time, she walked around the streets of the national capital. She went to the Sis Ganj Gurudwara and then to the busy Chandni Chowk market, where she bought traditional Indian clothes. The German ambassador to India said that the app Paytm was used by her to pay for things in Chandni Chowk.

Philipp Ackermann, the German ambassador to India and Bhutan, posted some photos of Baerbock on Twitter with the caption, "Packed with activities and work, a super exciting The first day of Minister @ABaerbock is over. In response to the tweet, Paytm founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma welcomed the G20 delegates and asked them to enjoy the "world-class digital payment infrastructure" while promoting the company's slogan, "Paytm Karo".


In the pictures that the German ambassador showed, Baerbock was with some women at the Sis Ganj Gurudwara and later looked at traditional Indian clothes at a shop in Chandni Chowk. The foreign minister used the digital payment method Paytm to pay for what she bought.
