The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore is expected to kick off registrations for the 2024 edition of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, or GATE 2024, today. Aspiring candidates can begin submitting their application forms on gate2024.iisc.ac.in as soon as the process is initiated.

Scheduled to take place from February 3 to 11, GATE 2024's comprehensive timetable has also been unveiled. IISc has announced the introduction of a fresh paper on data science and artificial intelligence (DA) in the upcoming exam.

The exam will span four days—February 3, 4, 10, and 11—divided into two shifts: from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

• Visit the official exam website and access the registration link.
• Register to obtain your login credentials.
• Log in to your account and complete the application form.
• Upload the required documents and make the fee payment.
• Submit the application form and ensure to save the final confirmation page.

FAQs:
Eligibility: Any undergraduate student currently in the 3rd year or higher of any government-approved programme in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Arts/Commerce/Science is eligible to appear for GATE 2024.

Age limit: There is no age limit to appear for GATE 2024.

Are there any restrictions on the number of times one can appear for GATE?
No. One can appear for the GATE examination any number of times.

Selection of papers: Although the candidate is free to choose any of the papers (up to two from the given combinations), they should select papers appropriate to the discipline of their qualifying degree.

Can you use one email address to fill out multiple application forms?
No. One e-mail address can be used to submit only one application form.

Fees: For female candidates/SC/ST/PwD (per test paper), the fee is Rs 900 if paid between 24th August to 29th September, after which they have to pay Rs 1,400. For all others, the fee is Rs 1,800 if paid between August 24 to September 29, after that they have to pay Rs 2,300.
