GATE 2023 exam: Exam schedule, guidelines, admit card, and all other details

According to the schedule, GATE 2023 exam will be held in two sessions on February 4, 5, 11, and 12.

The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, will hold the GATE 2023 exam which will begin today, February 4, 2023. GATE 2023 will be held in two shifts in eight zones around the country as well as a few other overseas locations.


GATE Exam 2023 will be held in two shifts on February 4, 5, 11, and 12, 2023, The first shift runs from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, while the second shift runs from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The GATE 2023 admit card is now available on the official website at gate.iitk.ac.in.



The GATE Exam 2023 Admit Card includes the candidate's name, roll number, date of birth, hall ticket number, address, shift timings, exam date, and instructions.


It should be noted that the GATE Exam 2023 will last three hours and be held in 29 cities. This will be a computer-based examination. A total of 65 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and/or Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions will be asked.

To the exam, candidates must bring their admission card, a valid picture ID, and a water bottle. If you do not have your Admit Card and Proof ID, you will be denied entry to GATE 2023.


What is not permitted in the GATE Exam 2023?

Candidates are not permitted to carry any electronic gadgets, including a digital watch, Bluetooth devices, laptop computers, or mobile phones.


Guidelines for GATE 2023:

Students are instructed to arrive at the exam venue/centre at least 30 minutes early to prevent any last-minute complications. Inside the test hall, all applicants must completely adhere to the COVID-19 standards. They should always wear a face mask and adhere to social distance rules.

Students are instructed to adhere to the code of conduct throughout the exam and to refrain from engaging in any misconduct. No applicant will be permitted to leave the exam hall until the GATE 2023 examination is completed. Students with disabilities must provide a valid certificate or proof of disability to the examination centre.
