Ganesh Chaturthi 2024: Mumbai Metro extends late-night services; Check timings, routes, dates, and other details
Mumbai Metro extends operating hours and reduces fares for Ganesh Chaturthi. Line 1's last train departs at midnight, while Lines 2A and Line7 operate until late night. Fares are slashed by up to a third, enhancing convenience for festival-goers.

What’s new with the Metro timings?
The Mumbai Metro covers three key routes:Metro Line 1: Ghatkopar-Andheri to Versova
Metro Line 2A: DN Nagar to Andheri-Dahisar East
Metro Line 7: Andheri to Dahisar East
For the festival, Line 1 will have its final train from Versova to Ghatkopar leaving at 12:10 AM, which is a big upgrade from the usual 11:20 PM. The last train from Ghatkopar to Versova will now depart at 12:40 AM instead of 11:45 PM.
Lines 2A and 7, managed by the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL), will also extend their hours. From September 11 to 17, the last trains will run until 11:30 PM, 30 minutes later than the regular 11 PM.
What about the fares?
The good news doesn’t stop with extended hours. Metro fares are also getting a cut—up to 33% off! Here’s the new fare breakdown for Navi Mumbai Metro:
- Rs 10 for trips up to 4 km
- Rs 20 for trips up to 8 km
- Rs 30 for trips beyond 8 km
