Ganesh Chaturthi 2023: Unique pandals illuminate Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations

Ganesh Chaturthi, a celebration dedicated to honoring Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati, is currently in full swing across the nation. This ten-day festival commenced on Tuesday, igniting widespread enthusiasm and devotion that has captured the hearts of people throughout India. On social media platforms, a flurry of pictures and videos showcasing the artistry of theme-based pandals is taking center stage, each exhibiting its unique and imaginative designs.

One of the most prominent themes this year pays homage to Chandrayaan-3, India's triumphant moon mission. Another pandal that has seized the attention of many is the creation by the Cyber Cell Surat Police, delivering a critical message about cyber fraud awareness.

Notably, this particular pandal features an idol of Lord Ganesha adorned in police attire, accompanied by posters and billboards offering guidance on averting cyber fraud.


In another part of the city, a pandal themed after the Ramayana has been erected, becoming a focal point for visitors, especially children.

In the early hours of Tuesday, devotees were observed with deep reverence as they transported idols of Lord Ganesha on a local train at Mumbai's Dadar railway station. The visuals captured people chanting in unison, 'Ganpati Bappa Morya.'

Ganesh Chaturthi is an annual festival celebrated with immense zeal, drawing thousands of devotees to temples and pandals in search of darshan, a glimpse of Lord Ganesha.

The festivities culminate with grand immersion processions on Anant Chaturdashi, marking the end of Ganesh Chaturthi, exactly ten days after it begins.
