Sunny Deol's latest film, 'Gadar 2', has achieved a remarkable milestone, crossing the coveted Rs 300-crore mark at the Indian box office. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh, a trusted source for Bollywood updates, revealed the film's impressive earnings in a recent tweet.

Taran Adarsh's tweet stated, "300 NOT OUT… #Gadar2 continues to ROAR… Mass pockets are in an altogether different league… Also, the contribution from Tier 2 and Tier 3 sectors will set a new benchmark… Expect BIGGG JUMP on [second] Sat and Sun… [Week 2] Fri 20.50 cr. Total: Rs 305.13 cr. #India biz. #Boxoffice."

Notably, 'Gadar 2' also secured its place as the highest-grossing Bollywood film on Independence Day, amassing a staggering Rs 55.40 crore in a single day.

The film's success story doesn't end there. 'Gadar 2' is currently enjoying packed houses in single-screen theaters across various mass-centric regions in India. It continues to make history at the box office, even though it faced tough competition from Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2'.

On a recent Monday, the team behind 'Gadar 2' held a press conference to discuss the film's immense triumph.

Sunny Deol, the lead actor, shared his initial apprehensions and emotional response to the audience's overwhelming love for 'Gadar 2'. He said, "I was quite stressed before the release of the movie. When the movie was released, I cried and laughed the entire night. My father was around and he saw me. I told him, 'I have not had alcohol. Main khush aa main ki kara (I am happy, what can I do)'."

Directed by Anil Sharma, 'Gadar 2' serves as a sequel to the 2001 hit film. In the original film, Sunny Deol portrayed the character of Tara, a truck driver, while Ameesha Patel played Sakina. The story was set against the backdrop of India's partition in 1947. In 'Gadar 2', the narrative follows Tara Singh's daring journey across the border to rescue his son, portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma, who has been captured in Pakistan.

The success of 'Gadar 2' not only reaffirms Sunny Deol's enduring appeal but also underscores the enduring popularity of a well-crafted sequel that continues to captivate audiences across the nation.
