The Season 4 finale of MGM+'s hit horror series From is set to air on Sunday, but attention has already shifted to the show's fifth and final season. Reports suggest that the critically acclaimed mystery-horror drama will return for its concluding chapter in 2027, bringing an end to the long-running story that has kept viewers guessing since its debut.

According to reports, production on From Season 5 is expected to begin later this year in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The upcoming season will pick up after the dramatic events of the Season 4 finale and is expected to finally answer several of the show's biggest mysteries. MGM+ renewed the series for a final season in April, just days after the fourth season premiered.

Announcing the renewal, series creators John Griffin, Jeff Pinkner, and Jack Bender said they were excited to complete the story as originally planned. "We are wildly excited to announce that we've officially begun work on Season 5, which means we will get the chance to see our story to its conclusion," the statement read, as per Radio Times.


They also hinted that fans can expect major revelations in the final season.

"Which means questions will be answered, answers will be questioned, and there will surely be a cascade of tears and terrors in-between."

What Happened in the From Season 4 Finale? (Spoiler Alert)

The Season 4 finale delivered several shocking twists that could shape the events of the final season.

Jade and Tabitha became trapped beneath the Bottle Tree after uncovering mysterious bones. Mari and Elgin were killed in separate incidents, while Fatima transformed into one of the Creatures in order to help Boyd, Jade and Tabitha escape. Victor survived a confrontation with his father, Henry, and Sophia's actions may have changed the fate of Fromville forever.

After encountering the Boy in White, Sophia stole all of the town's protective talismans and threw them into the Farway Tree, leaving residents exposed to the deadly threats that emerge after dark.

The series follows the residents of a mysterious town from which no one can escape. Every night, terrifying Creatures emerge to hunt the townspeople, while strange supernatural forces continue to deepen the mystery surrounding the cursed settlement.

Over four seasons, the story has introduced several key elements, including the Boy in White, the Man in the Yellow Suit, teleportation portals, magical talismans and hidden connections between many of the characters.

What to Expect From Season 5

Executive producer and director Jack Bender has previously revealed that the ending was planned from the beginning.

"We set so much into motion in season one. A lot of seasons four and five are continuing those things we set up, many of which are obvious to the audience, and some of which are not. There are a lot of inevitabilities coming into season five."

The final season is expected to resolve the show's major mysteries while delivering an emotional conclusion for longtime viewers.

Harold Perrineau is expected to return as Boyd Stevens, alongside much of the ensemble cast, including Catalina Sandino Moreno, David Alpay, Elizabeth Saunders, Scott McCord, Chloe Van Landschoot, Corteon Moore, Hannah Cheramy, Simon Webster, Avery Konrad, AJ Simmons, Ricky He, Pegah Ghafoori and others.

Perrineau previously teased that many of the show's clues have been hidden in plain sight.

"Some of the answers, some of the clues, are so subtle that you are not going to know for a long time. When they pay off, you'll be like, 'oh, wow, that was slick'."

Is There a Trailer for From Season 5?

No trailer has been released yet. With filming expected to begin later this year, fans may have to wait until 2027 for the first official footage from the final season.
