The dance, also dubbed the iconic “boat dance,” rose to fame thanks to 11-year-old Indonesian internet star Rayyan Arkan Dikha. In this particular video, the woman is seen striking poses and dancing on the luxury car’s bonnet as it drives along the road, all to create a social media reel.
Further investigation revealed that the man behind the wheel — identified as the woman’s boyfriend — was driving without a valid license. The caption accompanying the reel read, “On my way to the 69th heartbreak with the same guy,” adding a touch of drama to an already dangerous stunt.
The video, filmed in Navi Mumbai, quickly caught the attention of traffic officials. The Navi Mumbai Police acted swiftly, detaining the driver and confirming legal proceedings are underway for reckless driving and risking public safety. They also confirmed that the woman was indeed filming the reel while standing on the moving vehicle’s bonnet.
Authorities reiterated a strong warning to the public, stressing that such stunts are illegal and life-threatening. They said, “Gaining likes on social media is no excuse for endangering public safety.”
