From Mohanlal to Shiva Rajkumar, Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' is a multi-starrer Film

Rajinikanth’s 'Jailer' is the long-awaited film, which is becoming bigger and better by the day, with some of the greatest stars in Indian cinema joining the cast.

‘Jailer’, the highly awaited film starring superstar Rajinikanth, is approaching the end of production. Mohanlal, Malayalam cinema's most recognised superstar, has been cast in a major role in Rajinikanth's Jailer. As a result, the Nelson Dilipkumar-directed film will be the first onscreen cooperation of the whole cast and the ultimate superstar.


As of now nothing is known about Mohanlal's part in the film, sources indicate that he will make a cameo appearance. Lalettan is featured in the first image, which was posted online, wearing a throwback outfit with a patterned shirt, large spectacles and holding a revolver.



The film, billed as a dark comedy thriller, is the Rajinikanth debut onscreen cooperation with the film's young director, Nelson Dilipkumar. The intriguing first teaser of 'Jailer', which was published on Rajinikanth's 72nd birthday, has grabbed social media by storm. The trailer confirms that Rajinikanth would feature in Jailer in a hitherto unseen avatar.


Meanwhile, 'Jailer' is becoming bigger and better, with some of the biggest names in Indian cinema joining the ensemble. The fresh information about the film's cast has piqued the interest of netizens and moviegoers alike.

Along with Mohan lal, Dr. Shiva Rajkumar, the most recognised Kannada film industry hero, is making his long-awaited Tamil film debut with Jailer.


Sunil, the versatile actor best known for his outstanding performances in Telugu industry, has been cast in a key part in Rajinikanth's comedy thriller. For a long time, rumours about prominent actor Sivakarthikeyan's cameo presence in Jailer have circulated on social media.


Reports also suggest that the producers are in discussions with a big bollywood actor to make a cameo appearance in the movie. According to reports, iconic superstar Amitabh Bachchan is in discussions to portray the character in Rajinikanth’s 'Jailer'.

The special trailer for Nelson Dilipkumar's film, published as the team's birthday gift to Rajinikanth, revealed him as the primary character Muthuvel Pandian. Despite the fact that nothing is known about the senior actor's character in the film, it is clear that Muthuvel Pandian is an aged man preparing for a major war. Rajinikanth’s Jailer is all set to release on April 14, 2023.
