Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, also known as Parthasarathy, accused of sexually harassing 17 female students at a management college in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj, allegedly turned the women’s hostel into a zone of fear, reported TOI.

According to TOI sources, he maintained a private accommodation within the 75-bed hostel and had remote access to its CCTV cameras on his phone, allowing him to keep constant watch over the students.

What did the investigations reveal?

Investigations found that he had tampered with the institute’s DVR system, erasing crucial CCTV footage.

Police said cameras had been placed in lobbies and even near washroom areas under the pretext of security, which he then used to intimidate students.

According to the FIR, he regularly threatened them with suspension or rustication, leaving parents unable to step in or challenge his authority.

Former students alleged that Chaitanyananda coerced one girl into changing her name and made others wait for hours in his cabin with promises of better marks, placements, and tour opportunities.

Complaints submitted to the University Outreach Program, Directorate of Education, and Air Headquarters were eventually forwarded to the college management in early August.

The inquiry also uncovered alleged financial misconduct. Chaitanyananda reportedly sublet institute property to private companies and used the funds to buy luxury vehicles, including a BMW, which police later seized.

Victims recounted instances where he forcibly took female students out in his cars, adding to the climate of fear he cultivated in the hostel.
