Fresh Covid cases cross 100-mark in Karnataka
Karnataka reported 104 fresh Covid cases on Saturday, taking the tally of active caseload to 271, according to data released by the Department of Health and Family Welfare.

The positivity rate rose to 5.93 percent, although fortunately, no new deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.
As of now, 258 individuals are in home isolation, while 13 are hospitalised, with six in ICU. A total of 1,752 tests were conducted across the state in the last 24 hours to monitor the Covid situation.
Bengaluru recorded the highest number of cases at 85, followed by Mysuru (7), Shivamogga (6), Chamarajanagara, and Tumakuru (2 each), and Mandya and Dakshina Kannada (1 each).
The state government is keeping a close watch on the Covid situation within the state, particularly in light of the recent surge in cases in neighboring Kerala. Health officials in border districts have been notified, although no travel restrictions have been imposed at this juncture.
