Actor Kartik Aaryan has emerged as the top actor of the year. Many are calling him the blue-eyed boy of Bollywood who can bring multitudes of audiences to the theaters at a time when the industry is going through a rough phase.

Aaryan‘s last film 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' did a business of over 250 crore which is way higher than many 200 crore films pre-pandemic given the sad state of the box office.

His most recent film Freddy, which was released last Friday (December 2) on Disney+ Hotstar too has created quite a buzz among netizens. The romantic thriller has won him a lot of praise for a never-seen-before avatar. In his latest outing Freddy, the 32-year-old actor plays a shy and lonely dentist who turns out to be an obsessed and toxic lover.


At present, Aaryan has a pretty exciting line-up with films such as Aashiqui 3, Satyaprem Ki Katha, and Kabir Khan’s untitled next. He has also left his fans excited with the recently launched teaser for his next theatrical release Shehzada, which will be hitting theaters on February 10, 2023. Shehzada is the Hindi remake of superstar Allu Arjun starrer Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020).

When asked if he’d be interested in foraying into various other industries, Kartik said he’s open to doing films in any language but a Telugu or a Tamil film would interest him the most.

Having his kitty filled with a slew of big-ticket films, the new-age hero candidly acknowledged his impact, declaring, “I’ve become the number one choice for a lot of filmmakers and I want it to continue. It might sound like I’m a bit arrogant or that I’ve become over-confident but it motivates me as well.” Kartik’s aim is to be so omnipresent that no matter the film, the filmmakers should think of no one but him.
