Fourth transfer in one year: Woman IAS officer 'transferred within 50 days' says 'conspirators always win'; alleges 'rebellion' by subordinates

A 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre has objected to her fourth transfer in a year, saying she has been repeatedly moved despite spending only a short time in her latest posting.

Neha Marvya was among the IAS officers transferred by the Madhya Pradesh government on September 5. Following the reshuffle, she expressed her disappointment in a WhatsApp group of the Madhya Pradesh IAS Officers Association, according to PTI.

Neha Marvya transferred for fourth time in a year

Before the latest reshuffle, Marvya was serving in multiple roles, including Director of the Tribal Area Development Scheme Department, Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Employment and Training Council (MEPSET), Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Scheduled Tribe Finance and Development Corporation, and Director of the Tribal Research and Development Institute.

The latest order left her with only the responsibility of Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Scheduled Tribe Finance and Development Corporation.

Marvya said the latest transfer came just 50 days after she took charge of her previous posting.

“I am deeply disturbed to see the transfer list dated September 5, 2026, which once again includes my name. I have been transferred within just 50 days of assuming office. This is the fourth time in a year that my name has appeared on the transfer list,” she wrote, according to PTI.

IAS officer says she felt ‘humiliated’

In her message, Marvya also alleged that she had been “humiliated” by the latest move, which she linked to pressure from what she described as a “rebellion” by subordinates.

She further wrote that “the conspirators always win, and I lose”, while claiming that the “system” had “failed” her.

The message has since circulated on social media, bringing attention to the officer’s repeated transfers and her objections to the latest reshuffle.
