Former F1 champion Jenson Button blames McLaren boss for Ricciardo's performance
Daniel Ricciardo was brutally criticized by his boss, McLaren's head Zak Brown last week for his poor performance this season. Now, former champion Jenson Button called out Zak for causing more damage to Ricciardo's performance.

Daniel Ricciardo became the Aussie with 32 podium finishes over 11 years by winning eight races in his career. Unfortunately, such an impressive record of the 32-year-old F1 driver would no longer be spared by the critics if he won't turn his fortunes around.
Statistics say that Ricciardo has managed to come just once in the top 10 finish in six races this season. At present, he is 11th in the standings as his struggle at McLaren continues.
McLaren is currently in the fourth position, backed by Lando Norris' 48 points this year. But, the team's championship hope is not so bright as it is lagging behind some 75 points from Mercedes, holding the third position.
High expectations with this year's F1 championship have been ruined as Ricciardo's performance struggle continues. However, the Austrian was expected to recover his form with the improved car of McLaren, which is easier to drive than the older ones.
His position in McLaren has become more hostile and worsened when his teammate Lando Norris continues to give stellar performance and projects himself as the potential future world champion.
While Ricciardo is well aware of the difficulty of maintaining his place in Formula One if he continues his current form, he has been criticized by his boss Zak Brown. Since the Aussie was yet not easy with his car, Brown projected Norris as a clean edge over Ricciardo.
Now, former world champion Jenson Button criticized Brown for his previous comment stating that it had done even more damage to the performance of the Australian F1 driver.
According to him, this way, Zak would put pressure on the player and prepared the media for their harsh decision, which had almost been made.
