The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign over the last few days threw up some beautiful snapshots from across the country: of celebrities and common folk, young and old, rich and poor alike celebrating 75 years of Independence.

One of the most understatedly beautiful pictures from the campaign was shared by industrialist Anand Mahindra.

It showed an elderly couple hoisting the national flag in front of their house. They had tied together long rods to get some elevation for the flag. The elderly woman apparently stepped on to a stool and from then on to the top of a large tin drum to fasten the flag.

The post does not say who they were or when or where in the country the photo came from. But then, it could represent quite a lot of faceless people across the country.

"If you ever were wondering why such a fuss over Independence Day, just ask these two people. They will explain it better than any lecture can. Jai Hind." wrote Mahindra.

His followers on Twitter immediately got the significance of the picture. "Next level it is! Love this young couple," wrote a user. "Very touching lines Sir," commented another.
