IndiGo flight status
Amid the cloudy weather in Delhi, IndiGo said, "With rainfall and thunderstorms expected over #Delhi, there may be delays and slower traffic to and from the airport. Please check your flight status before heading to the airport and allow a little extra travel time in hand."With the IMD predicting more rainfall and thunderstorms in Delhi-NCR, there are chances that IndiGo flight operations might be impacted at Delhi Airport. On Thursday, IndiGo said departures and arrivals in Delhi and Bengaluru may be "slightly impacted" due to expected thundershowers. The airline said flight schedules could face minor delays despite efforts by operational teams to minimise disruptions.
"With thundershower expected to pass over #Delhi and #Bangalore, departures and arrivals may be slightly impacted. While our teams are preparing well in advance to keep things running smoothly, the weather may slow things down a touch," the airline said in a tweet.

Air India flight status today
Air India flagged persistent rain and gusty winds in the national capital and parts of north India on Thursday. Air India also urged travellers to allow extra time for their journey, citing the possibility of slower road traffic due to the weather.
Delhi weather update
Delhi-NCR experienced light rain and overcast skies on Friday, with a yellow alert issued for thunderstorms. This rainfall provided relief from recent warmer conditions. Similar conditions are expected to continue on Friday, with light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds likely over parts of Delhi-NCR."Western disturbance is currently positioned over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir, which is why the western Himalayan regions are witnessing heavy rainfall. At the same time, an induced cyclonic circulation over Haryana is leading to rainfall across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab," said Mahesh Palawat of Skymet.
He said that although earlier forecasts indicated stronger rainfall activity, the system is now moving towards the eastern parts of the country, and conditions are likely to remain similar to what is being experienced at present.
"The pre-monsoon activity has also arrived earlier than usual. Typically, it begins towards the end of March, but this time it has been advanced because the first 10 days of March recorded unusually high temperatures, and the western disturbance has been more intense. As a result, the pre-monsoon phase has been preponed," Palawat said.
