Flight attendant surprises father on his birthday, his face changes the moment he recognises her

A flight attendant turned her father’s birthday into an unexpected celebration by surprising him while working on his flight. The father was unaware that his daughter would be part of the cabin crew, and his confusion on seeing her in uniform quickly gave way to an emotional hug.

Shweta Pandey shared the reunion on Instagram, capturing the moment her father stepped onto the aircraft and came face-to-face with her without knowing she would be there.

The video carries the message, “Decided to surprise my father on his birthday.”

Father fails to recognise daughter in IndiGo uniform

The footage begins as Shweta’s father boards the aircraft, apparently unaware that his daughter is working on the same flight.

As he enters, Shweta approaches him with her arms open for a hug. Her father initially appears puzzled and takes a moment to understand who is standing in front of him.

He looks at her again, seemingly unable to recognise his daughter in her IndiGo uniform. After another glance, he finally realises that the flight attendant in front of him is Shweta.

Surprise turns into emotional hug

Once he recognises her, his reaction changes immediately. He steps towards his daughter and embraces her tightly, turning what began as a moment of confusion into an emotional birthday reunion.

The brief interaction captured the surprise of seeing a familiar face in an unexpected setting, particularly because Shweta had intentionally kept her presence on the flight a secret.

‘First time’ father sees her in uniform

Along with the video, Shweta revealed that her father had no idea she would be working on his flight that day.

She also said it was the first time he had seen her wearing her IndiGo uniform in person, making the surprise even more meaningful for both of them.
