A viral post on X has claimed that a former employee was offered $15,000 by a company after being fired, in exchange for agreeing not to contact its clients. According to the user who shared the story, the employee accepted the payment without contesting the termination, but then questioned whether the agreement prevented the company from asking about $380,000 that was allegedly missing from a client account.

The post, written as a first-person account, claims the employee told the company that the money had been transferred through three different accounts before disappearing. The user further alleged that transaction records had already been provided to a bank, leaving the company’s manager and HR representative surprised by the disclosure.

Employee claims $380,000 had gone missing

According to the viral X post, the employee was called into a meeting after the company decided to terminate their employment. The company allegedly offered $15,000 on the condition that the employee would not contact any of its clients.

The employee reportedly accepted the agreement almost immediately, prompting the manager to ask why they were not planning to challenge the decision.

The post claims the employee then raised the issue of $380,000 allegedly transferred from a client account the previous month. According to the account, the money had moved through three different accounts before disappearing.

The employee allegedly told the manager and HR representative that transaction records had already been given to a bank.

Post claims company later investigated transfers

The X user further claimed that the employee did not contact any clients or publicly discuss the matter after leaving the company.

According to the post, the former employee received a call from the previous manager three days later but did not answer. The following morning, the company’s bank allegedly contacted the organisation, followed by investigators.

The post claims investigators subsequently found emails, altered financial records and an approval trail involving company executives.

The user alleged that the former manager had approved transfers, while the finance director had subsequently altered records. The post further claimed that emails uncovered during the investigation indicated that the employee had been dismissed because the company wanted someone to take responsibility for the missing money.

Viral post claims three executives were charged

The account goes on to allege that the employee had previously reported the transactions and had retained copies of documents they were legally entitled to keep.

Six months later, according to the post, three executives were charged in connection with the alleged financial wrongdoing.

The former manager reportedly contacted the employee again, but the employee claimed they did not respond.

The post ends by saying the employee kept the $15,000 cheque. It presents the payment as an example of how the company allegedly intended to make the employee leave quietly, while the employee viewed the payment differently because they had already reported the transactions.

The story has circulated as a dramatic workplace account on X. However, the specific allegations, including the alleged missing $380,000, the investigation, the altered records and the reported charges against three executives, should be treated as claims made in the viral post unless independently confirmed by credible records or authorities.
